Preview: Costellos at Heartbreakers, Southampton

After a sold out show in their hometown at The Loft last August, Southampton four-piece Costellos will return home once more as part of their headline tour with Modern Age Music to play at Heartbreakers alongside Mancunian quintet Dirty Laces and Hastings natives Alibi.

Founded in 2016, Costellos’ distinct anthemic tracks and high octane performances have captured the attention of audiences across the UK and, more recently, parts of Europe. Sold out headline shows and major support slots for the likes of The Sherlocks, Blossoms, and Happy Mondays’ Bez, among others, have ensured that they have been earmarked as ones to watch moving forward.

The band are reminiscent of the brit pop era, all whilst infusing a modern touch with catchy guitar melodies with ambient rhythm and powerful drum performances that demand the attention of every crowd they appear in front of. Surging crowds, intense rock ‘n’ roll and a fuelled sound are what you can expect to find at a Costellos show.

With an ever-growing list of festival performances under their belt, which thus far have included the likes of Isle of Wight, Victorious and Common People, they look forward to spreading their reach even further, growing their already strong fan base. As a result, the past years seen the band complete packed-out headline shows across the UK, including the aforementioned hometown show at The Loft, which saw the band draw in a crowd of over 250 people; a massive step up from their debut hometown headline show at Heartbreakers, which sold out in a matter of weeks.

With their debut EP due early this year, alongside this huge UK tour, Costellos are ready to take on their biggest year to date.

Costellos play Heartbreakers in Southampton on 13th March, with tickets, which will only be available online, on sale via this link and priced at £5.50.
