Beck Hansen, better known by his first name alone, will be bringing his eclectic style to the south coast of England when he graces the stage at the Bournemouth International Centre later this month. Backed with a catalogue spanning the past thirty years, consisting of thirteen studio albums, Beck is sure to draw from all his experience to put on a show you’ll remember for a lifetime.
The California native had his breakthrough in the 90s with the release of his first hit single, ‘Loser’, in 1994 and his first Platinum record Mellow Gold later that same year. But it was two years later when Beck found himself receiving the highest praise of his career so far with the release of the critically acclaimed record Odelay, which is still his best selling record to date and has gone double Platinum. Since then he has gone on to win almost 20 awards, including five Grammys, of which the most recent came in 2015 with his 12th record, Morning Phase, picking up Album Of The Year and Best Rock Album; three Brit Awards for best International Male Solo Artist, and six MTV Video Music Awards.
Beck’s most recent release came in the form of Colors towards the end of last year, an experimental pop-infused records which also received generally good reviews from critics. As a result, those in attendance in Bournemouth can expect performances of hits spanning Beck’s entire career, right up to his most recent releases, which is sure to be memorable night in the presence of one music’s true genius’.
